Welcome to the peace and tranquillity of La Chaumière. After a long day at the office or spent exploring Cape Town, it's the perfect place to come home and relax. Here you are close to nature, where the song of birds in the morning and the chirp of frogs at night are probably the most intrusive sounds you'll hear. La Chaumière is situated on a green belt between the Bellville Golf Course and the Tygerberg Nature Reserve in the distinguished suburb of Welgemoed.

ACCESSIBILITY
Only a few minutes' drive from the N1 route, La Chaumière is about mid-way between Cape Town and Stellenbosch. Cape Town International Airport is only 15 minutes away, and the beaches of Blaauwberg and Table View a mere 25 minutes. All the other attractions of Cape Town are very easy to access. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the Waterfront.

ACCOMMODATION
La Chaumière has a quiet, bush-lodge atmosphere with thatched verandas. Five tastefully decorated double rooms with showers en-suite, each with its own cosy lounge corner, overlook a large pond in a lush indigenous garden. The suites are equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, TV, fans, heaters, built-in mini-safes, bar fridges, hairdryers and other touches to make your stay as comfortable as possible. One of our rooms has been especially designed for guests in wheelchairs, with a drive-in shower, grip bars, wide doorways, etc.

Start the day in the cheerful dining room with a scrumptious breakfast which could see you through to dinner! This is the time we get to know you, so breakfast is never rushed, and we are happy to help you plan your day if you require any information or assistance.

Your car will be safe inside the premises with remote-control security.

The Bellville Golf Course is a stone's throw away, and if you can't play, there's the Bells Golf Academy nearby. The 278ha Tygerberg Nature Reserve offers a beautiful 7½km hiking path with astounding views of the entire Peninsula from the top on a clear day. A little further a field is the Durbanville Wine Route, which has six estates producing top-quality red & white wines. If gambling is your thing, Grand West Casino is only 20 minutes away, and adrenalin junkies will love Ratanga Junction at Century City during the summer months. Fitness freaks can visit the Virgin Active Gym at Tygervalley. Ice skating is at Grand West on an Olympic size rink. All this is within a radius of 15km!

Tygervalley, Sanlam Centre, N1 City, Canal Walk - paradise for shopaholics! All these centres have cinemas. The Velodrome periodically hosts concerts, exhibitions and conferences. Eating out is a treat, with a huge variety of restaurants and food types to choose from. There are a few venues nearby which showcase the   talent in South Africa.
