Constantia Manor
is an up market (5 star) thatched roofed country lodge guest house on a
beautiful one acre garden in the heart of the old winelands. The thatch
holds the heat in during the winter and will keep the rooms cool during the
summer months.
Each of the 7
individually decorated rooms is provided with direct telephone lines, coffee
and tea making facilities, hair dryers, safes, clockradio's and T.V's.
The Manor is
decorated by the Dutch owners with an excellent selection of European
antique furniture. Just enough to create a fine relaxing atmosphere to make
you feel at home. Our heated swimming pool also gives you a perfect place to
relax alongside on one of our relaxing beds.
Our guest lounge gives you an excellent place, also during the wintertime
when we heat the place by burning wood in the open fire place, to relax and
to take a drink from our trust bar or to chat with friends or other guests
staying in the house welcomed by you as your guest.
Our location is ideal. Away from the noise and smell of the city bowl but
still not more than 15 minutes from the Waterfront, 20 minutes from the
Airport, 10 minutes from the Atlantic and Indian Ocean, Botanical gardens
and surrounded by 25 golf courses.
In walking
distance we have one of the most popular restaurants in Cape Town, and not
further than 5 minutes drive we have most of the top restaurants as well.
Our guest house
is around the corner from Groot Constantia winefarm, the first winefarm of
South Africa, not far from the famous Kirstenbosch botanical gardens, the
largest botanical garden in the world, about 45 minutes from Cape Point,
where the wind blows and 30 minutes from Boulders Beach, where you can stay
in between the penguin colony on the beach.
The wine routes
to Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschoek are not further than 45 to 60 minutes
from Constantia.
Trails for the more sporting guests can be started nearby and assistance in
routes will be given by the owner.
All assistance in making bookings for Tours, reconfirming flights, advises
for day trips will be given based on our own experience.
The owners, Anneke and Radboud Janssen invite you to lodge with them whilst
enjoying the pleasures and beauty of the Cape.
For your convenience English, Dutch and German are spoken. |
