Welcome to Pontac Manor Hotel & Restaurant, a celebrated establishment in the historic town of Paarl, at the heart of the Cape Winelands, close to Cape Town.Surrounded by majestic oak trees and manicured gardens, the hotel has
been restored to its former Victorian elegance and welcomes guests from around the globe.


Original historic features in architecture and furnishing reflect an era of gracious living. Here, in a luxurious and yet homely atmosphere, first-class service and modern convenience blend with traditional style and genteel hospitality.

The Rooms

The bedrooms, a combination of spaciousness, comfort and selected antiques No comfort has been spared in appointing and equipping the hotel's twenty-two individually decorated rooms.

Each a living statement of simple elegance, the guest rooms are furnished in fabrics of the finest quality and feature Victorian and African furniture. All rooms are equipped with telephone, television, tea and coffee making facilities and individually controlled air-conditioning.

Decorated in individually selected fabrics and handcrafted furnishings, the nine rooms in the Manor House are a reflection of refinement and understated elegance. A particular feature of all the rooms is their extremely spacious en-suite bathrooms with under-floor heating.

The Pool Annexe and Garden Suites include 5 double-rooms and 2 family rooms (5 with microwave and refrigerator), furnished in colonial style light woods and pastel shades, with Spanish Reed ceilings.

The Honeymoon Suite offers luxury in a romantic setting with king-size bed, Jacuzzi spa bath and private courtyard. Bedcovers are from luxurious woven silks in shades of red and autumnal colours.

Featuring a separate lounge and kitchenette, the Victorian Cottage houses 5 cosily authentic bedrooms, with en suite bathrooms, including basin, WC and shower.

Facilities

In the Manor House, plump sofas and armchairs invite one to lean back and relax in a luxurious yet homely atmosphere. Double volume ceilings allow for a sense of space and light throughout the Manor House public areas. From Duke's Bar at Pontac, furnished in Afro-chic style, a
magnificent mahogany bar counter and huge indoor fireplace beckons.

The Veranda - home to Café du Pontac
On the expansive Victorian veranda, guests can sip sun-downers whilst savouring the magnificent view to the mountains beyond or enjoying the tranquillity of the gardens where squirrels hop amongst the oaks.

Breakfast, light meals and beverages are served here throughout the day and diners may enjoy the delightful flavours of the menu at Café du Pontac anywhere on the premises, from 7.00 to 17.00.

The Breakfast
For breakfast there is a choice of fresh seasonal fruit and steamed dried fruit, yoghurt, various cereals and a selection of fruit juices. Try our fresh breads with a selection of cheese and cold meats. Bacon, eggs and select mini quiches are on the menu, too! All to be enjoyed with our delicious Pontac coffees.(Breakfast is served from 7:00 am - 10:00 am)

The Swimming Pool & Gardens
On warm summer days, enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool or bask by the poolside on a reclining lounger. Snacks, light meals and beverages are served throughout the day and garden or pool service is readily available upon request.
A special feature of Pontac Manor Hotel & Restaurant is the beautifully laid out gardens.

The front of the manor is flanked by majestic oak trees, the veranda looks down onto a manicured rose garden in Victorian style and a classic water feature. Quiet seating areas are dotted in various locations in the gardens: here guests can relax with a book or newspaper, enjoy a peaceful moment of contemplation or a cosy chat, or order beverages to be served in the gardens.

Meetings:

2 well-equipped conference rooms (Conference Room - max. 45 seats, Board Room - max. 30 seats). Day and Full conference packages available.

Guest Facilities:
2 lounges (both with fireplace), 1 bar, veranda, various garden seating areas. Victorian Cottage features own lounge and kitchenette. On site: swimming pool, spacious gardens with oak trees, fountains, rose garden Near vicinity: horse riding, golfing, mountain walks, wine tasting cuisine
