The building which houses the
Restaurant, the Brasserie and the Ladies Bar is named in honour of Jan Cats,
an 18th century Dutch barber-surgeon.
After serving on sailing-vessels of the Dutch East India Company, he settled
on these premises in 1734 and offered his skills in service to the local
community.
Choose from a selection of game dishes (Springbok, Kudu, Crocodile, Zebra)
or live seafood like Crayfish and oysters in the restaurant or enjoy some of
our specials in the Brasserie with it's sidewalk tables.
