The illustrious Morgenhof Wine Estate, is situated on the slopes of the
Simonsberg Mountains outside Stellenbosch.
This
area is renowned for the high quality of its grapes and the distinctive
terroir is reflected in the character of these exceptional wines. Owned by
Mrs Anne Cointreau-Huchon of Cognac, Morgenhof Wine Estate dates back to
1692. It consists of 212 hectares of which 70 hectares are under vines,
producing approximately 30 000 cases a year.
Our popular estate wines consist of Methode Cap Classique Brut,
Sauvignon Blanc, a wood-matured Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon,
Premiere Selection (a Bordeaux blend) and a Port.
Visitors are welcome to sample the recently launched Fantail range at the
estate. The hidden underground cellar is octagonal in style and a
spectacular landmark in the winelands. Morgenhof is the ideal setting for
light luncheons and cater for weddings, private functions, dinner dances,
breakfasts, cocktail parties, conferences and seminars.
