CHEESE and WINE is best paired on
the Terroir: the geography, geology, climate and history of a given soil.
Local cheeses are gaining popularity with the South African as well as the
foreign palate. On the tour, their specific making techniques and history
are critically explored.
World and South African Cheese Award winning Camembert and Brie, organic &
original goat cheeses; Bulgarian, Romanian and Italian confections, unique
blues and novel cheeses are combined with wines, emanating from the same
ground.
Over 250kms of farmland is explored, offering the epicurean tourist a global
'terroir' overview. To add to the splendour of the scenery, small stretches
of little known and well-maintained bush roads are travelled.
We promote South African quality food products and present the importance of
making the mental switch from buying foreign to buying local.
